THE National Education & Technology Conference (EdTek Con) 2025, titled \u201cUnfolding the future of education,\u201d was staged successfully for the first time at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino in Lahug last Friday, March 28, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., beginning with registration at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
During the opening
\nremarks, Riki Dacanay \u2014 ICT Industry Council of the Philippines president \u2014
\nsaid the future of education was in the hands of those that attended the
\nconference. Dacanay called on attendees to uphold the future of the education
\nsystem.<\/p>\n
Organized by EdFolio,
\nan education technology or EdTech start-up from Iligan City, in cooperation
\nwith Serial Disruptors, Cerebro and the ICT Industry Council of the
\nPhilippines, EdTek Con 2025 discussed the future of education and innovations,
\ninvolving artificial intelligence (Ai) and blockchain in education, data
\nprivacy and education.<\/p>\n
Founded by EdFolio
\nand SkoolTek CEO Ursel Murillo-Laureno, the event was touted as the leading and
\nexclusive forum for principals and deans, school officials and owners, and
\nprofessionals in the EdTech space.<\/p>\n
\u201cAI is not a
\nreplacement for educators, but it is a powerful tool that can help further the
\nadvancement of education,\u201d said Laureno.<\/p>\n
