Today,\u00a0 May 18th at the Thailand Cultural Centre in Bangkok, the orchestra will perform\u00a0 its first concert abroad in several years. This exclusive event has already reached\u00a0 its maximum capacity of 1600 seats, as the orchestra prepares to share some of the\u00a0 world\u2019s most beautiful music with distinguished guests.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe orchestra has performed more than 80 concerts in 12 countries and a total of\u00a0 36 cities across Asia, Europe, America and Australia.\u201d said the Executive Director,\u00a0 Ms. Demie Chung. \u201cThis is the first time Evergreen Symphony Orchestra plays in\u00a0 Thailand. It gives us great honor to become the cultural ambassador, enriching the\u00a0 multicultural society by performing a concert with folk songs from Taiwan,\u00a0 Thailand, and other countries in the world. Furthermore, we invited Thai singer\u00a0 and actress Gam Wichayanee Pearklin, who is regarded as the \u201cPowerful Diva\u201d by\u00a0 the media, to perform and set the stage for a breathtaking performance that\u00a0 resonates with the audience.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%\" src=\"https:\/\/vritimes-public.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com\/production\/110b4f2646caaa0318fea2652dafc6119d18ebedc51d97d2fb3dfd39a9ae65ff\/f5608228-723c-406b-bc43-f07e4659d4f5.jpg\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Evergreen Symphony Orchestra has specially invited American conductor\u00a0 Yisrael Getzov as the guest conductor for this event. The program starts with the\u00a0 overture \u201cRusslan and Ludmilla\u201d, followed by the \u201cMorning Mood\u201d from Peer\u00a0 Gynt Suite No.1 and \u201cThe World Folk Songs\u201d, which consists of four songs:\u00a0 \u201cLoving The Year Round\u201d from Taiwan, \u201cKamen Sai Yok\u201d from Thailand, \u201cThose\u00a0 Were the Days\u201d from Russia, and \u201cRasa Sayang &amp; Bengawan Solo\u201d from Malaysia.\u00a0 Other music performed in the first half of the concert includes \u201cEspa\u00f1a Ca\u00f1\u00ed\u201d by\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Marquina, \u201cWaves of the Danube\u201d by Ivanovici, \u201cSwedish Rhapsody No. 1\u00a0 Midsommarvaka\u201d by Alfven, the French chanson \u201cMon Coeur est un Violin\u201d, and\u00a0 ending with \u201cDanse Bacchanale From Samson et Dalila\u201d by Saint-Sa\u00ebns.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The second half begins with the \u201cLight Cavalry Overture\u201d by Supp\u00e9. Highlights of\u00a0 the program are the five popular songs sung by the Thai star vocalist Gam\u00a0 Wichayanee Pearklin: \u201cLove Destiny\u201d and \u201cIf You Love Someone\u201d from the TV\u00a0 show Love Destiny, two English songs \u201cI Will Always Love You\u201d, \u201cQue Sera,\u00a0 Sera\u201d and the Chinese song \u201cThe Moon Represents My Heart\u201d. The concert then\u00a0 concludes with the grandiose finale, the \u201c1812 Overture\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%\" src=\"https:\/\/vritimes-public.s3.ap-southeast-1.amazonaws.com\/production\/4fbe1b9bce122a57e82e6e8263472ca37d38835dc639e79dc090910fe11f1ab0\/50341131-533c-4476-922d-71dd3798fbbf.jpg\" alt=\"Image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The orchestra has planned two encore pieces, including the \u201cRoyal Guard March\u201d\u00a0 composed by King Rama IX of Thailand, and the folk song \u201cYe Lai Xiang\u201d\u00a0 famously covered by the legendary Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng. At the end of\u00a0 the program, the selected music often evokes nostalgic feelings among the\u00a0 audience, leaving them lingering long after the concert.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Founded and supervised by the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation, the Evergreen\u00a0 Symphony Orchestra is exceptional in being the only professional orchestra in\u00a0 Taiwan operated by a private sector. Active for more than 20 years, the orchestra\u00a0 has received much affirmation worldwide. This very first concert in Thailand has\u00a0 already garnered overwhelming interest and support from honored guests and VIPs\u00a0 in Thailand and is now fully booked.
