ASUENE Inc. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ideatex Co., Ltd., a major general trading company in Taiwan, and InSynerger Inc., a company specializing in energy and facility management.
Through this partnership, the three aim to support businesses in Taiwan in addressing decarbonization and ESG initiatives, anticipating the tightening of environmental regulations starting in 2026, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
Background of the Partnership
The Taiwanese market has experienced stable economic growth in recent years, and the importance of Japan-Taiwan cooperation, particularly in the digital and green sectors, has been increasing. With the signing of the Japan-Taiwan Investment Agreement in 2011, the investment environment has improved, and the Japanese government’s “Supply Chain Reform” support policy in 2020 further accelerated Japanese companies’ expansion into Taiwan.
Additionally, Taiwan is strengthening its regulation to achieve carbon neutrality. Starting in 2026, businesses emitting over 10,000 tons of CO2 annually or listed companies with a capital of over TWD 10 billion will be required to report their emissions. By 2028, this obligation will be gradually extended to all listed companies. Moreover, by 2027, all listed companies will also be required to disclose ESG information.
In response to these regulatory changes, the demand for decarbonization management and ESG compliance among Taiwanese companies is rapidly increasing. As a result, the need for business support to promote sustainability strategies has become more critical than ever.
Partnership Details
ASUENE provides cloud services and SX consulting for measuring, reducing, and reporting CO2 emissions across the entire supply chain (Scope 1-3) based on the GHG Protocol for businesses and local governments. With its strength in delivering comprehensive decarbonization solutions, ASUENE supports companies in promoting carbon-neutral management through a comprehensive approach.
InSynerger, leveraging its expertise in energy management and system integration, offers a wide range of solutions to promote energy efficiency and decarbonization. ASUENE and InSynerger will collaborate to provide companies with one-stop services ranging from energy efficiency and decarbonization to the measuring, reducing, and reporting of CO2 emissions.
Furthermore, to accelerate the expansion of these services in Taiwan, Ideatex will leverage its extensive local business network to connect with companies facing environmental challenges. This collaboration will contribute to meeting the growing demand for decarbonization and ESG initiatives in Taiwan, supporting companies in achieving sustainability management.
